Ged Clarke born Gerard Francis Clarke in Stockport, Cheshire, England.

Left Stockport aged six and moved to Tilehust, Reading. Went to School at English Martyrs R.C then to Presentation College and Stoneham, Reading. Moved to London 1976 to study Fine Art at Chelsea School of Art (BA Hons) 1976 – 1980.

Exhibition of works of art at Fulham Studios 1981 - converted the Studios for Film use.

From 1981 – 1986 worked on hundreds of Pop Videos and Commercials including Artists such as Duran Duran, Elton John, Tina Turner, Aha, Spandau Ballet, Phil Collins, Simple Minds, Stranglers, The Cure, David Cassidy, Paul Weller, Eurythmics, Boy George and many more.

Turned freelance Art Director in 1986 designing Award winning pop Videos for Sting, Tanita Tikarem, Curtis Mayfield, Level 42, Art of Noise, Kirsty McColl, Lloyd Cole, plus many Award winning Commercials with Gerard De Thame, Frank Budgen and Tarsem.. Shooting in over forty countries worldwide.

Awards include:
Honour for Best Production Design 2001 AICP for Nike - Mission
Honour for Best Production Design 2002 AICP for Mountain Dew – Duo
Both now included in the Permanent Collection of the Department of Film and Video, The Museum of Modern Art, New York ( MOMA)
Best Art Direction – Festival Della Pubblicita Anipa 1998 for Campari – Scratch
Cannes Prix des Journalist and Gold Lion at Cannes for Smirnoff – Message in a Bottle. Plus many other awards at Cannes, BTAA, New York Festival, ClLIOS, ANDY, The One Show, ADDY, Epica 2000 and Kinsale.

Met with Tarsem in 1992 and have worked on over 200 ad’s with him.

Production Designer on The Fall 2004-05 Feature. Released 2008.
